These beers have been chosen for their indulgent chocolate notes, spiced fruit aromas, stunning depth and warming booziness. Get the log burner on, get the cheese board out and keep the winter blues away with this fantastic selection. 

Alaskan Smoked Porter - The dark, robust body and pronounced smoky flavour of this limited edition beer make it an adventuresome taste experience. Alaskan Smoked Porter is produced in limited "vintages" each year and, unlike most beers, may be aged in the bottle, much like fine wine. Great with pan fried pheasant, pancetta and wilted spinach

Schlenkerla Rauchbier Marzen - ​A legendary dark and aromatic German beer which achieves its smoky flavour by exposing the malt to intense, aromatic smoke from burning beech wood logs. Great with quick-brined, grilled pork chops and a balsamic glaze.

Brooklyn Brewery Black Chocolate Stout - This is the famous Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout. In the 18th century, Catherine the Great, Empress of Russia, ordered a stout to be sent to her from England. This beer was brewed strong and hoppy to survive the sea voyage, and it arrived in perfect condition. Soon "Russian Imperial Stout" became the toast of the Russian aristocracy. Perfect with warm eccles cakes with a slice of ewe's milk cheese

Anchor Brewery Old Foghorn Barley Wine - Brewed based on historic English barleywine methods. It is highly hopped, fermented with a true top-fermenting ale yeast, carbonated by a natural process called "bunging" to produce champagne-like bubbles. Great with stone baked pizza topped with prosciutto, figs and gorgonzola

Williams Brothers March of the Penguins - This creamy dark stout, deep chocolate in colour has a nose of roast malts, coffee, licourice & orange peel. The aromas carry on into the flavour with a smooth mouthfeel, rich malty start, fresh hoppy middle & a delicious lingering sweet orange after taste. Sure to get you marching again on those cold winter evenings. Great with Chocolate brownies with fresh raspberries and crème fraiche

Maui Coconut Porter - 6 malts, hand – roasted coconut. Hints of chocolate and coffee. Perfect match for sticky toffee pudding or a Thai Beef Curry.

Fourpure Oatmeal Stout - The original stouts were brewed in London and Fourpure wanted to make a beer style with so much heritage in their home city. Fourpure Oatmeal Stout is full-bodied and creamy with a rich dark chocolate and roasted coffee flavour. Serve with Hay smoked roe deer with red fruits, vegetables and leaves.

Nogne Imperial Stout - Dark, rich and intense—the Nogne Ø Imperial Stout is sure to please even the most demanding of Russian Tsars. The brewers use Columbus and Crystal hops, an English ale yeast, and local Norwegian water to make this opulently intense Imperial Stout.Great with Welsh rarebit and a beer chutney

Roosters Londinium Coffee Porter - A dark beer with a hint of coffee on the finish, from the famous coffee house, Taylor's, brewed using a blend of four malts and English hops, Londinium is a nod to the beer of yesteryear and, in particular, the style made popular by the street and river porters in London in the 18th century. Great with dark chocolate & raspberry torte.

Nogne Imperial Brown Ale - Rich, full-bodied, and beautiful, this Imperial Brown Ale from Nøgne Ø is a hard one to put down. Columbus, Chinook, and Golding hops alongside a huge amount of malts give generous flavours of toffee, caramel, chocolate, roast, dark fruits and floral citrus hops. Perfect with wild vension and game charcuterie

​Perro Tonto - Perro Tonto is a deeply complex and balance strong amber ale, aged for 6 months in Sherry Casks.

Saddle Black - The roasted malts used to craft this full flavoured black beer will give a taste of chocolate and espresso, whilst the use the of smoked malt gives saddle black a well rounded finish. The aromas are a mix of black pepper, deep fruits, orange and spices. The mouth feel is full bodied and complex with a lingering bitter finish. Saddle Black is best served with beef short ribs, beer BBQ beans, dirty mash with garlic butter and gravy.
